We had always wanted to get a piano since we first got married. Shawn recently was called to be the choir pianist and so we decided now would be a good a time to buy one. We looked around for two weeks and finally found the one we wanted. We would have preferred to wait awhile after Christmas to buy a piano, but Shawn was having to go to the church to practice. So here are our adorable budding pianists. Yes they all like to play the piano.

Snow Day!
Today was our first snow day of the year. Well, they probably don't call them snow days here. Maybe they call them winter weather days. Anyway, I realize this picture is of the top of our garbage can, but by the time I went outside to take a picture all the ice was melted. School was canceled for ice and the roads really were slick. At first they had just delayed school for 2 hours, only to cancel the whole day later in the morning (good thing I checked back to find out for sure). However, for those farther up north and in the midwest, you'd probably be happy to have a "storm" like ours. What made the roads bad still by the time school would've started is the fact that they put sand on the roads instead of salt. If they would have salted the roads last night instead of sanded, I'm sure the roads would have been better for school. I was dreading having Treyton home all day, but Wade still had preschool (it is just a parent co-op) and so far at 2 pm things have been pretty peaceful.

Santa!
We needed to go to the mall today, so we decided to stop and see Santa. The boys needed to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. Of course the line was very long and we waited for over an hour. The kids did really well while we waited since the mall had a play area right next to Santa. The mall also had a whole bunch of candy machines right next to the play place and each kid had to try to get candy without any money.
After waiting so long, Treyton didn't even tell Santa what he wanted. Treyton wanted to sit on his lap again so he could tell him what he wanted. No way were we going to wait an hour again, so instead we discussed the "letter to Santa"method of telling Santa what you want for Christmas. We should try doing the letter next year instead of standing in line for an hour.

The cute things they do.
Wade was playing the recorder while I was changing Celeste's diaper (right in my ear, by the way). After I got Celeste dressed she picked up the recorder and I heard her blowing into the wrong end. So I turned it around to see if she could make sound and sure enough she was playing the recorder. Of course, she would rather blow on the wrong end because it fit in her mouth better that way. Might I remind you that her birthday was 2 weeks ago and we could not get her to blow out the candle.

I'm Stuck
Just after dropping Treyton off at school I hear Celeste's "I'm Stuck" scream. (We have one chair in the kitchen that will only let Celeste under on one side, so she typically gets stuck and screams until she finally figures out that she has to go backwards.) Knowing this scream is not life threatening, I walk into the kitchen and look under the table--no Celeste. My next thought is she's stuck under the chair in the office, so I turn to head into the office and there I see Celeste--standing at the kitchen sink (just like her brothers do when they wash their hands).

After finally being persuaded into creating a blog, we have finally made the leap.
