Sick day on . . .

Snow (I mean ice) day from school. When we went to bed the school district had only delayed school for 2 hours and I went to bed praying they would not cancel school. Treyton woke up in the night throwing up. You can thank me later for not taking pictures. Now that he was sick I was hoping that they would cancel school so he wouldn't have to miss school. Yep, they canceled school again for ice. This time was much worse than the last ice storm. Shawn didn't go into work until mid-morning. The picture I wish I would've taken was of Treyton sleeping on the bathroom floor by the toilet. Poor guy. He was feeling much better by the afternoon. Now two days later , I got sick. I felt horrible. Thankfully, I got sick on Friday night so Shawn was home to take care of the kids on Sat. and Sunday. I still felt a little icky on Monday and by Tuesday I was back to feeling fine. How is it that Treyton is sick for less than 24 hours and I was sick for over 3 days?

Bad tile

Celeste does not like crawling on tile, so this is how she gets around when she's on tile.

play room

Celeste plays very well all by herself. She'll crawl into the play room and play for up to an hour sometimes. If it's quiet and I don't see her in the living room, I can find her playing quietly by herself in the play room. I just love that she doesn't always need to be at my feet all day long. It sure helps me get my things done.

She is showing off now that I have the camera.
And a wave on demand (very rare).

We have a walker!

Celeste has finally decided that walking might not be such a bad idea. She's been taking 1-2 steps for about 2 weeks, but now is taking 3-4 steps at a time and tries several times a day. Here she is just standing, getting ready to move. One stepTwo steps
Three steps
Back to crawling, this method is still much faster.
I thought she might start walking a bit earlier than her brothers and she did, but only by a couple of weeks. She is 14 months and her brothers were both 15 months.

First Homework

Treyton received his first homework assignment from school today. As soon as he finished his after school snack he wanted to start his homework. His teacher mentioned that the kids might want to do a little bit each night during the week. Not Treyton, he wanted to do all his homework at one time (it's only 2 double-sided sheets of paper and very simple). Treyton said he likes doing homework and I pray he'll still be enjoying homework when he's in high school.

It's finally in the garage

Yeah, our van finally made it into the garage. Almost 7 months after moving here we finally made enough room in the garage to put a vehicle. Now you can't see the other half of the garage because it is packed full of stuff still needing to be put away/recycled/donated/organized. The hanging ball is more my own good. There is very little room for error in parking in the garage and I need some help.
Here is how close the back bumper is to the garage door. I have to hold my breathe sometimes in hopes the door closes.
Here is how much room there is in front of the van to walk around to put Celeste in her seat and for me to get in to drive. Since taking this picture I have parked forward more
to allow a little more clearance in the back. But still the van is a tight fit.

Why we love birthdays

Treyton went to his first birthday party for a friend from school. This friend, Samir, really wanted Treyton to come to his party, so his mom called me several times to make sure he could come. Treyton had a really fun time at the party. They had a blow up slide and trampoline, face painting and a cotton candy maker. The party was 4 hours long and they had plenty of fun things to do for 4 hours. When I went to pick up Treyton, Wade wanted to come with me. They offered Wade cotton candy and he even got a party favors bag. So when we get home the boys dump out the bags and see what they got. Shortly after I see Celeste eating a half open sucker and chocolate all over the front of her shirt. So here is Celeste eating her first sucker (in the confines of her chair so she can't get my furniture all sticky). She loved the sucker and was upset when it was all gone.

Hiding

Celeste and Wade were playing and laughing one day and this is what I found them doing. Celeste did not like when Wade tried to get inside with her. It was Her spot.

Mommy's Little Helper

Celeste LOVES the vacuum. I know Celeste is on her way the second I turn on the vacuum. She comes right up to the vacuum and touches it and follows it around. Wade didn't seem to care to much about the vacuum when he was little, but Treyton was terrified of the vacuum. When Treyton was little he'd cry and scream and visibly shake when I would vacuum. Thankfully with only one child I didn't need to vacuum very often.
Here Celeste is trying to vacuum. I sure hopes she still likes to vacuum when she is actually old enough to vacuum for me. And yes, I do vacuum the hardwood floor instead of sweeping it (most times).

Even Babies Have Bad Hair Days!

Celeste is having a really bad hair day. She has so little hair, but every strand on
top is standing straight up. This makes me wonder just how is she sleeping to get
her hair to do this. Even with bad hair, she is still super cute!
